Abstract:
The adsorption curves of 1,3-butadiene in polystyrene (PS) and styrene/butene multi-block copolymer membrane were measured by quartz-spring weighing method at 298.15 K and 308.15 K. The influence of temperature, reduced pressure of 1,3-butadiene, molecular weight and their distribution of polystyrene and copolymer on the adsorption curves was investigated. The experimental data show that the adsorption of isoprene in PS is more difficult than that of 1,3-butadiene in PS at the same temperature. Results show that the small anomalous diffusion of 1,3-butadiene in PS are found under different conditions. The adsorption was correlated using the diffusion model. The correlated results show that the modified equation is in good agreement with the experimental data in most cases.
