Abstract:
The binary vapor liquid equlibrium for methanol with triethylene glycol dimethyl ether was studied at 437~533K and 0.3~1.3MPa using static total vapor pressure method. The data about total initial compositions Z temperature T and total pressure p T at equilibrium condition were measured, and the vapor liqiud equilibrium(VLE) data for binary system were obtained by means of material balance and Soave equation of state. Through regressing the experimental data, the correlation equations of solubility of methanol and its equilibrium constant with partial pressure of methanol and temperature were obtained respectively. The experimental results provide the basis for the determination of solvent circulation rate and the operating conditions of desorption of methanol in solvent methanol process.
