Abstract:
In order to study the friction and wear properties of the coating on the rotor material surface, CrN, TiN and TiAlCrN PVD coatings were prepared on the rotor substrate 20Cr13 by the combination of multi-arc ion plating and magnetron sputtering. The test results show that the three coatings can greatly improve the performance of the substrate, among which CrN coating has the best surface quality, the highest film adhesion (30 N), and TiAlCrN coating has the highest hardness (67845 N/mm
2). The friction coefficient of the TiAlCrN coating sample is the highest (0.619). Because of the high hardness of the TiAlCrN coating and the high film adhesion, the wear resistance is the strongest. Both the TiAlCrN coating and the CrN coating are in contact with oxygen during the friction and wear test, and the surface has formed an oxide film with certain wear resistance and polishing effects, which can play a certain role in lubrication during the friction process, enhance the wear resistance of the substrate; TiN coating has poor wear resistance due to poor film adhesion. Considering the overall performance, TiAlCrN coating is an ideal coating for strengthening the friction and wear resistance of compressor rotor surface.
