Abstract:
Eutectic behavior,thermal stability,influence law and formulation of eutectic compound with low melting point and high thermal stability of KCl、KBr and K
2SO
4 ternary compound are studied.The eutectic compound can be formed under certain component concentration.The sequence of influence degree of KCl,KBr and K
2SO
4 on the formulation of eutectic compound is KBr > KCl > K
2SO
4.When the mass fractions of KCl,KBr and K
2SO
4 are 20%~30%,20%~40% and 30%~40%,respectively,the combination has the widest eutectic scope.The compound thermal stability is related to the component concentration.When the mass fractions of KCl,KBr and K
2SO
4 are 30%,30% and 40%,respectively,the eutectic compound reaches the highest decomposition temperature (717℃) and the lowest melting point temperature (662℃).The product made in our lab shows lower melting point and higher decomposition temperature than those of commercially available ones.
