Abstract:
Polyester waste with recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate)/high density polyethylene (r-PET/HDPE) homogeneous composites were prepared by low temperature solid extrusion process.Microstructure and properties of the composites with different weave structures polyester waste were evaluated by analysis methods such as SEM,DMA,DSC,TGA,capillary rheometer, electromechanical universal tester and so on.Results indicate that the polyester waste with coil structure (F
2) has a significant effect on the microstructure and performance of the composite materials in several kinds of polyester waste. The presence of F
2improves the dispersion of HDPE in r-PET,enhances the viscosity, rigidity and thermal stability of composites, increases the tensile strength, bending strength and bending modulus by 13.3%,28% and 24%,respectively.
