Abstract:
Pyrolysis of three typical coal samples was studied in a tubular furnace reactor under the temperature of 873-1 273 K in order to understand the fast pyrolysis behavior of coal samples and to capture the characteristics of gas release.Infrared gas analysis system was used to record the gas component during the process. The results show that higher temperature promotes the decomposition of hydrogen/oxygen containing functional groups in coal. The release amount of H
2 and CO increased by 4-5 times when the temperature increased from 873 K to 1 273 K.Coal rank has little influence on effective component of gas product at the experimental temperature range. At the temperature of 1 273 K,the release amount of H
2 was almost independent on coal rank.
